A change in partnership for this DC area law firm triggered a name refresh and need for a completely new visual and brand identity. We began our collaboration by developing a new logo and brand guide that set the tone for new collateral and supporting materials such as digital and print business cards, email signatures, LinkedIn banners, marketing bio flyers, and templates for a variety of stationery.


The logo process + behind the scenes

Megan uses a fine-tuned logo design process that has been replicated dozens of times across a variety of client types and industries, consistently resulting in two outcomes: a functional, memorable, and unique logo and a satisfied client that feels empowered to present their business in a new, confident light. These are the foundational goals that provide a guiding light throughout the design process and ultimately makes for a successful logo.

After establishing the parameters of the redesign in a consultation call, research—including a competitive audit and industry logomark/name audit—kicked off the process. Fueled by research findings, font discovery, sketches, multiple vector options followed. After two rounds of constructive feedback, the direction was chosen and further refined over two following rounds.
